Creating a “Professional” Web Page Style

In this tutorial, you’ll create a couple of professional-style web pages. By “professional,” I mean web pages companies would feel proud displaying over the World Wide Web.

Creating web pages for companies, no matter what their size, is always tricky. Not only must the design of your site fit the customer’s services and personality, but you must also consider the customer’s clients. You don’t want to create a website that confuses a customer’s clients, especially if those clients don’t use computers often.

In this tutorial:
  1. Creating a Professional Web Page Style
  2. The Navigation Bar/Title Bar Style
  3. Creating a Metallic Navigation Bar
  4. Creating a Logo
  5. Adding a Steel Plate Graphic to your Web
  6. Creating a Contents Area
  7. Creating Slices in Photoshop
  8. Editing your Web Page in Dreamweaver
