Types of Web Backgrounds

In web design, there are essentially two types of web page backgrounds:

  Colors: You can create colored backgrounds easily using HTML or a web editing program, such as Macromedia Dreamweaver.
• 
  
  Graphics: Small images that seamlessly tile together to create a single, large background. The reason these images are small is because a large background image would make your web pages agonizingly slow to load.
